About Me

I’m a 20-something farmer’s wife who has finally learned to eat healthy, be happy, and live well!

I live on a farm in rural Virginia and couldn’t be happier 🙂 My honey and I live in a log cabin that we renovated (with help from lots of family and friends!) on his family’s farm. We have acres of land and only one neighbors plus lots of family just a few miles up the road.

The other member of our family is Titan, a black Great Dane. This is what he looked like when we brought him home…all 29 pounds of him at 11 weeks!

This is what he looks like now…all 135 pounds of him! He’s such a sweetheart and just wants to be loved on. For a little bit more about my puppy, check out this post.

Yes, he does wear shoes. And yes, he does think he’s still a teeny tiny puppy!

Back to me now…

I work full time at a local university and in my spare time I like to read in my hammock, work out in my “home gym,” and spend time in my kitchen cooking and baking new recipes. I love my “me time” but couldn’t live without my honey. We’ll be celebrating three years of marriage and almost six years together in late June.

  1. It is so nice to ‘meet’ you, Kristin! I am a farmers daughter and wouldn’t change it for the world! Nothing better than working cows and getting your hands dirty and feeling truly tired at the end of the day, knowing that you’ve done something. Thanks for stopping by my new blog… it is an adventure to say the least. Keep at it! 🙂 You sound like an awesome person!

  18. HI! I haven’t been in a log cabin but in my country we have a similar house like that called Nipa Hut, made from Nipa leaves. It’s cool inside the house, I bet your house is like that too.
